Please be aware. . .
Over the past two weeks the City of Weatherford has experienced several auto burglaries and four auto thefts. All four vehicles have been recovered locally. These incidents have been primarily located in the south and west part of town. Due to the fact that we have had two weapons taken from vehicles it is crucial that the suspects on these cases be apprehended as soon as possible.
The citizens of Weatherford need to exercise precautions when securing their vehicles. It would be a good idea to remove any property of value such as weapons, wallets, purses, money, keys, etc.
On one particular case, two suspects wearing all black were observed running from the scene. This was in the area of 6th and Huber. One vehicle that was stolen was taken in the afternoon in daylight hours.
